Here's another poem. It's good old Emily Dickinson. As I've discussed before in this blog, most of Emily's poems can be sung to the tune of "The stars at night, are shining bright (bombombom-bomp) Deep in the heart of Texas," and this one is no exception, especially the second stanza.

Our lives are Swiss
By Emily Dickinson

Our lives are Swiss --
So still -- so Cool --
Till some odd afternoon
The Alps neglect their Curtains
And we look farther on!

Italy stands the other side!
While like a guard between --
The solemn Alps --
The siren Alps
Forever intervene!
