Okie doke. The fix is in. I'm putting in my application to compete in the Mr. Northleast Leather SIR contest. I'm doing it on the advice of my therapist. She pointed out that having a title could raise my profile, and that could be beneficial to my goals of being a writer and a porn star. (That's actually what she said. That's actually what my sixty-ish, heterosexual therapist said. And that's why she's worth every penny I fork over to her.)

The contest is June 13th at the Slide in the East Village.

After therapy, I went to the gym... 189 and a half, said Mr. Scale. So close I can taste it. All of my squirming and repositioning and holding my breath couldn't make the counterweight budge when I had it set to 190. Today for lunch: an Italian Sub and a MetRx or four or five. I worked back and shoulders. I love working back and shoulders. Love love love. Chest is basically variations on the theme of chest press, and arms are variations on the theme of curls, but the possibilities are endless when it comes to back and shoulders. And if I looked all the time the way I look when I'm pumped from my workout, I would only need to crook my finger and I'd get any man I wanted. Trust.

Oh. And next time I'm up on a cross waiting to be whipped, I want a good visual for the lucky Top.

After the gym, I met with DP, a young (way young, like, will never see the inside of the LURE young) man I've chatted with on Leather Navigator. A sweet and wonderful boy. He's sort of bursting forth onto the scene, and from what he told me, has had some good experiences with some Tops that I respect and admire. What a great journey lies ahead of him, and starting off so young, it's great to think about all the pitfalls he'll avoid.

And here's another thing. (Rose colored glasses firmly planted on my nose again.) The Leather community is so welcoming. No matter what your age, body type, disability or whatever, there's a place for you. How cool is that.

And, Christopher Street last night was exhibiting the wee little town on the Midwestern prairie quality that I love so well. Walking from the gym to meet with DP, I ran into Lolita. We chatted a bit. Then on to Factory Cafe to meet with DP. I left Factory, and headed to the PATH train, and there was a guy from my softball team. Yikes! I realized I forgot my hat at Factory. I head back, and there's Massage I'm Gonna Love from GMSMA. And then home.
