My Three Sons

I had a realization about the admiration and respect I've apparently garnered from the young men I work with at the sanding table. In a way, they're my boys. Not in any sexual way, but when I talk, they tend to listen. And from what I can tell, they take what I say to heart. All three of them are being raised by single mothers. Their fathers are distant figures. So, I think I'm something of a father figure to them.

How 'bout that?

That seems to be the way it is with men. Heck, James Joyce thought so, didn't he? Completing yourself by finding a father and a son. That's beautiful. And now I've found a Dad and a whole posse of sons.
